Artist Statement

My career as a microsurgeon sensitized me to the interior rhythms of organic form. My second loves of mathematics and computer programming gave me the tools to express these harmonies for others to see. Most art depicts an image of an object, albeit associated with a mood or feeling. My images, which I call Light Threads, instead show the energies within, the emotion without physical form, the kinetics without a vehicle. Most people who view my art feel a visceral response that they may find difficult to put into words. It's understandable. My art isn't about the physical world. It's about the energies that drive, unite, and nourish that world. Pure motion. Pure energy. Pure light.
