Artist Statement

Annie Dillard writes of a fellow sitting in a cabin teaching a stone to talk. The Incas taught stones to speak of shape and fit. In the American Southwest, stones express sunlight, chemistry, and time. I explore the speech of stones in shapes, colors, and value changes. My stitches percolate among the stones, seeking their words. I have been featured on The Carol Duvall Show, and Simply Quilts on HGTV. Commissions are welcome. Prices range from $200 to $300 per square foot.
