Title: Stainless Steel Sculpture
Site: Lomita, CA
After twenty years of advertising with the Guild Sourcebooks, my work has consistently been exposed to corporate art consultants. This exposure has increased the sales of my artwork both nationally and internationally. I estimate that 75 percent of my sales originate through contacts made through the Guild
Sourcebooks. As an emerging artist, I was creating three- to four-foot sculptures and selling my work through regional galleries. Now Iām an established international sculptor of monumental works. My artwork Spirit Song was installed in Beijing in 1998 as a result of a Guild Sourcebook ad. I was commissioned by the Motorola Corporation to create a large sculpture for their headquarters. The project involved an extensive amount of coordination between my studio, the Chinese architects, consultants, and the two governments. The collaboration broke cultural and language barriers and came to symbolize the joining of Eastern and Western thought.
