This graceful tabletop sculpture is made one at a time. Williams uses two different metals and freshwater pearls to give it the wonderful shape you see. A copper patina is then applied to the sculpture.

Cheryl Williams was introduced to clay in 1975. Finally able to combine her enjoyment of working with her hands with her interest in images, geometrical shapes and colors, she has been working with the medium ever since.

Mistakes, dreams and teachers inspire Williams. Throwing her ceramic bowls by hand, she airbrushes them to give an appearance of softness in contrast to the severity of the edges. Gold, silver or copper interiors express the inner light that Williams believes dwells in all of us.
